About Zonta
QWhat is Zonta International?
Zonta International is a global service organization whose mission is to Build a Better World for Women and Girls. Through service and advocacy it promotes gender equality, works to end violence against women and girls, and supports women’s education and leadership.
QWhen was the Taiwan Dream E-Club founded?
Zonta International chartered the club on April 15, 2026 (Club No. 2087). Our First General Assembly and Founding Ceremony took place in August, and we were registered with the Taiwan government on September 15.
QHow is an e-club different from other Zonta clubs?
An e-club uses digital tools to overcome distance, bringing together members from different fields and cities. It is the Zonta spirit extended into the digital age.
QWhen are Zonta Rose Day and International Day of the Girl?
Zonta Rose Day is March 8 (International Women’s Day); International Day of the Girl is October 11. November 25 to December 10 are the 16 Days of Activism (Zonta Says NO to Violence).
Joining
QHow can I get in touch to join or take part?
Email President Janet Yang at jan9456@gmail.com or message us on Facebook. Whether you want to learn about Zonta, join an activity or become a member, we would love to hear from you.
QCan I join if I live in another city?
Yes. As an e-club we connect online, and our members live in different cities.
QWho can join and how do I apply?
Women and men who share our mission, are of good character and have professional standing may join. A member sponsors you, the Board reviews the application, and the President notifies you once approved.
QHow much are the fees?
Entrance fee NT$3,000 (NT$1,500 under 40). Annual dues: NT$18,000 for international members; NT$9,000 for international members under 40 and for domestic members. Honorary members are exempt. Try the calculator on “How to Join.”
QCan men join?
Yes. Under our bylaws, both women and men who share our mission can become members.
Activities
QWhat activities does the club do?
Advocacy (such as Zonta Says NO and International Day of the Girl), international exchange (such as the International Convention and the Zonta Mentorship Program) and community service. We also take part in District 31 training and events. See “Activities” for records and photos.
QWhat is the Zonta Mentorship Program?
The program matches mentors and mentees by goals, interests and aspirations, and each pair sets career and personal growth goals for a year. In 2026 four of our members joined the fifth cohort.
QHow often does the club meet?
We meet mainly online, as needed, except for the July–August recess, and hold one General Assembly each year. See the Annual Calendar for details.
